Used in bombing operations over Japan throughout the spring and summer of 1945, the Bockscar &#8212 a B-29 Superfortress delivered to the USAAF in March of that year &#8212 is most recognizable as the aircraft that dropped the “Fat Man” atomic bomb over Nagasaki on August 9, 1945. The mission was the second, and last, nuclear attack in history.

A historic replica of the iconic bomber, this 1/144 scale, Air Force 1 Model Company, die cast model &#8212 which includes a 1/72 scale reproduction of the “Fat Man” nuclear bomb &#8212 features that aircraft’s signature nose art, realistic panel lines, a simulated canopy, rotating propellers, optional-position landing gear, authentic markings, and a mid-flight display stand. Measures approximately 8¼” long with an 11¾” wingspan.
