The MiG-25 Foxbat is a Soviet-built supersonic interceptor and reconnaissance aircraft, developed by Mikoyan-Gurevich in the 1960s. Known for its exceptional speed and altitude capabilities, the MiG-25 can reach speeds exceeding Mach 3.2 and operate at altitudes above 70,000 feet, making it one of the fastest military aircraft ever built. Designed primarily to counter high-altitude threats like the U.S. SR-71 Blackbird and strategic bombers, it features a robust airframe made mostly of stainless steel to withstand intense heat generated during high-speed flight. The Foxbat carries powerful radar and a variety of air-to-air missiles for interception missions. Despite its speed, the MiG-25’s maneuverability is limited, but its combination of speed, altitude, and firepower made it a formidable opponent during the Cold War
